Who we are

LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE is a think tank and training institute whose primary aim is to promote execellence in public administration and governance and strengthen the capacities of civil servants, especially local authorities and employees.

Goals and Objectives

To encourage the development and promotion of excellence in public administration and governance, particularly among local government units (LGUs).

To capacitate and enable civil servants, authorithies, and policy makers.

To promote and facilitate the exchange and transfer of knowledge co-creation between and among levels of government.

To advocate for reforms and amendments to national policies including provisions of the Local Government Code, the 1987 Constitution, and other relevant legislation and issuances
